Scandinavian Island Gastronomic Journey and Gourmet Dinner

Project Branding Scandinavian Islands is for the fourth time gathering the Stockholm, Åland and Turku archipelago for a cross-border event. The seminar is planned for the 19th of April 2012 at Djurönäset Hotel and Convention Center in the archipelago of Stockholm.

Over the past years we have through project Branding Scandinavian Islands been aiming to market and promote our region from different angles. Since we represent a unique destination, from a gastronomical point of view, we have chosen to put forward the theme of Gourmet at our forthcoming seminar. This will be a day filled with inspiration, knowledge and flavors.

Scandinavian Islands should be discovered with all our senses!

The project Branding Scandinavian Islands provides educational and developing seminars, contributions at international conventions and workshops, international press visits and tour operators, corporate web development and so forth.

Within this project, work is theme-based and marketing material has been generated for a dozen of different archipelago-based products. One of these themes is Gourmet, which describes the very particular food, locally produced primary products, quaint, traditional courses and the amazing restaurants waiting to serve the international guests. This particular theme will characterize the cross-border seminar Scandinavian Islands Gastronomic Journey, taking place in the Stockholm archipelago 19th of April 2012.

19th of April will be a day to get inspired by reflections, aromas and flavors. All product and tourist entrepreneurs and owners in the archipelago are part of this project and are invited to the seminar.

The day will feature lectures about food and gastronomic culture. Discussions will also be held regarding entrepreneurship and product development in the purpose of increasing competitiveness of the archipelago in the field of tourism. Apart from inspiring lectures by chef Paul Svensson, amongst others, a Mini Food Fair will take place where we wish to present a variety of skillful producers and craftsmen from our region within the culinary territory.
