at Scandinavian Islands Gastronomic Journey & Gourmet Dinner the 19th of April

19th of April will be the day to get inspired by reflections, aromas and flavors.

Apart from inspiring lectures, by Swedish gourmet chef Paul Svensson and sommelier and entrepreneur Ulrika Karlsson from Krakas Krog, Gotland, a Foodmarket for the participants of the seminar will be represented. We are to present a variety of skillful producers and craftsmen from our region within the culinary territory. How about a blueberrydream, or tatars of traditional archipelago maltbread together with some baltic herring or salt sill and much, much more. Discussions will also be held regarding entrepreneurship and product development in the purpose of increasing competitiveness of the archipelago in the field of tourism. On the agenda of the day as well, our special guests from London, Trudi Pearce, Head of Destination Partnerships and Olly Wheatcroft, Destination Projects Manager from responsibletravel.com about "Responsible Tourism" and what it means to care about local communities & culture as well as wildlife conservation & the environment.

Project Branding Scandinavian Islands is for the fourth time gathering the Stockholm, Åland and Turku archipelago for a cross-border event. The seminar is planned for the 19th of April 2012 at Djurönäset Hotel and Convention Center in the archipelago of Stockholm. All product and tourist entrepreneurs and owners in the archipelago and as participants of this project and are invited to the seminar.

Over the past years we have through project Branding Scandinavian Islands been aiming to market and promote our region from different angles. Since we represent a unique destination, from a gastronomical point of view, we have chosen to put forward the theme of Gourmet at our forthcoming seminar. This will be a day filled with inspiration, knowledge and flavors. A promise.

Destination Scandinavian Islands should be discovered with all our senses!

The project Branding Scandinavian Islands provides educational and developing seminars, contributions at international conventions and workshops, international press visits and tour operators, corporate web development and much more.

Within the project, work is theme-based and marketing material has been generated for a dozen of different archipelago-based products. One of these themes is Gourmet, which describes the very particular food, locally produced primary products, quaint, traditional courses and the amazing restaurants waiting to serve our international guests. The particular theme Gourmet will characterize the cross-border seminar Scandinavian Islands Gastronomic Journey, taking place in the Stockholm archipelago 19th of April 2012.
