In favor of the research of childhood cancer

This Monday the 13th of August the galease s/y Albanus left Galeärkajen in Stockholm and head off through the Stockholm Archipelago along the east coast of Sweden for it´s first stop Visby on Gotland. Final destination is the unconferance #SSWC on Tjärö in the archipelago of Blekinge.
Onboard the ship a mighty gang of 10 Social Media nerds from Stockholm, the Åland Islands, as well as from the Turku Archipelago. 6 of these divided in two teams that during the cruise are to compete against each other using their skills and contacts through Social Media. Both teams with the united goal to raise money for the Sweden Childhood Cancer Foundation. The language used during the cruise and competition is swedish, as swedish is the main language spoken by the majority of the persons living and working in the archipelago areas of Turku - Åland Islands, Stockholm, and of course, in the whole of Sweden.

The whole idea of bringing toghether Social Media gurus on a charity cruise, is an initiative by, Social Media specialist at the Gaming Company PAF on the Åland Islands, Mats Adamczak.

- Activities in Social Media and the culture that comes with it goes well along with the overall values we have with Play Among Friends or PAF, says Mats Adamczak.

The tasks of the competition are set by Mats and vary from being a quiz able to google, or asking advice from friends online, to playing of "pafball" engaging the locals of the current harbour.
