Welcome to Asterholma Holiday Village at the island of Asterholma. All of our cottages offer a fantastic view of the ocean. It is the perfect place for a couple that is looking for privacy with some adventure – pure nature – and of course quality.

On your request we can arrange special activities like:

Seal safari, fishing with a guide, visit on a sheep farm, bird watching with a guide (minimum /7 person), and mixed “pentathlon”. It varies what we have available depending on the season. Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

You get to the Åland Islands by ferry or by airplane. To get to Åland find more information in the Viking Line FERRY or Eckerö Linjen FERRY timetables. If you prefer to travel by air you can find information in the Air Åland AIRPLANE timetables.

To get to the island of Asterholma you have a few options. The island is located in the north eastern part of the Åland archipelago and can be reached by bike, car or bus by a system of ferries on the Northern Line,”Norralinjen”. You can also get to Asterholma with a ferry from the Finnish city Turku in roughly two hours. You may contact Ålandstrafiken, Visit Åland or Asterholma for more detailed information about how to get to Asterholma from Mariehamn or from Turku with the landscape ferries.

During the high season (June 21-Aug. 7) we rent out the cottages on a weekly basis, Saturday to Saturday.

Accommodation in a cottage for 1-6 persons. Bed linen/towels and cleaning service included. During the summer season (June 21-Aug.7) there is one rowing boat for each house with the possibility to rent a motorboat.

An indoor renovation of our cottages was done during 2009. Our cottages have two bedrooms, a kitchen that is combined with the living room and a full bathroom with a sauna. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, refrigerator and freezer, coffee maker and a toaster. The living room has a sofa bed with enough room for two people and an indoor fireplace. There's two bedrooms one being larger with a queen size bed the other a smaller size with a bunk-bed. There is a terrace with outdoor furniture and a barbecue grill. In the village centre there’s a larger barbecue site and a smoke-oven to prepare fish for everyone to enjoy. The BBQ place has a fantastic view where you can enjoy the sunset. The village has a playground a small beach that suits younger children. For the older children and adults there’s a water trampoline close by on the smooth cliffs. We have prepared hiking trails that are 2 kilometers (1,3 miles) and 3,5 kilometers (2,2 miles). You'll find amazing scenery following the trails that take you near water and over rocks. We also have a few old bicycles (adults-sized) that our guests can use free of charge.
