To target Åland when planning your cycling holiday is a brilliant idea. The countryside is varied and beautiful. The roads naturally meander through cliffs, forest meadows, nature reserves, islands and small villages. Bike paths are well marked with green signs. Distances in Åland are never long and you will have time for many breaks during each stage.

You need to know how to ride a bicycle and be in such physical shape so that you get through the 110 km over 5 days.

This package includes transportation with ferry.

At 07.45 take the bus from the City terminal (Gate 1) in Stockholm (Sweden) to Grisslehamn. At 10.00 the ferry departs from Grisslehamn to Eckerö (the Åland Islands). You will arrive in Eckerö at 13.00 (local time). Take the bus to Mariehamn where you pick up your bicycle.

At 17.30 take the bus from Mariehamn to Eckerö. At 18.30 home voyage from the Eckerö linjen terminal in Eckerö to Grisslehamn. From Grisslehamn the bus takes you to Stockholm.

A round-trip bus ticket Stockholm-Grisslehamn and Eckerö-Mariehamn. A round-trip ferry ticket from Grisslehamn in Sweden to Eckerö in Åland with Eckerö Linjen. Four nights’ accommodation incl. bedlinen and breakfast at specified locations. Bicycle with three gears, hand and foot brake, bicycle helmet, bicycle basket, bicycle bag, a book and map about Åland and a museum pass for four optional museums and ferry tickets.  It’s possible to exchange the bicycle for a mountain bike or a tandem bike for an additional fee.

Detailed product description

At your arrival with Eckerö linjen in Eckerö you take the bus to Mariehamn. In Mariehamn you will go to RoNo Rent in the Eastern Harbour where you can pick up your bicycle. From Mariehamn you get on your bike towards Föglö. On the last day you leave your bike in Mariehamn and take the bus to Eckerö for departure with Eckerö Linjen.

Suggestions for accommodation: The first night at the Enigheten at Föglö, the second night at the Remmarina cottages in Kumlinge, the third night at the camping of Sandösund in Vårdö, the fourth night in Kastelholms guesthouse in Sund.
